Beth Higginbotham

Gymnastics and Flexibility Coach

Hi! My name is Beth Higginbotham.  I am a 36 year old identical twin who loves to teach any sport and bake yummy healthy treats

I got my Bachelors from ASU in 1999 Exercise Science with an emphasis in Wellness and was a former competitive gymnast of 10 years from age 4-14.   I have been teaching gymnastics for over 10 years – ages 14 months to whatever age ; ) oldest is 53 so far.  I also do gymnastic seminars at several cross fit gym and other places in AZ.   I have a lot of jobs, but the longest has been teaching swimming lessons to all ages (6mo to elderly)…22 years now.  I have competed in diving, track, snowboarding, sprint triathlons, and powerlifting.  I competed with WABDL for 3 years and was a state & world champion powerlifter.  I also taught snowboarding for 3 years at Sunrise Ski Resort.

Presently I teach special needs children in every area that I coach: parkour/free-running, swimming, diving, gymnastics and personal training, tumbling, cheer lessons, and a lot of adult private lessons for any sport/skill someone wants to learn.  My friend and I started our own kids/teen parkour/cross-fit class that we have done for over 2 years.  Circus school of AZ also hires me for performances and I made it on American Ninja Warrior this year, but was not able to compete due to a badly broken finger

I just got back from Ninja Warrior training camp in NJ and CT 3 weeks ago and that was a blast! While I drive all over town for in-home swim lessons and personal training, you can still find me at Desert Devils Gymnastics in Mesa 6 days a week.  I am almost finished with my Myopractics certification and will be starting my own practice soon.  A new Sport I took up this year: Tough Lotus Aerial Fitness
