Lorette Haynes is passionate about Synchro! She has been involved in the sport as a swimmer, coach, judge, and administrator for over 25 years.
As an athlete, Lorette competed for 15 years, where she was a gold medalist at many National Competitions, including National Age Groups, Junior Nationals and U.S. Senior Opens. She also competed several years at Senior Nationals, where she qualified to the second phase of Olympic Trials.
Lorette’s coaching experience spans over 15 years, with swimmers of all ages and abilities. She has always had a special talent for helping swimmers exceed even their own expectations. She has instructed Age Group, Junior and Senior National Level swimmers, including this past season when Lorette’s swimmers qualified for National Age Group Championship.
In 2001, Lorette was voted by her peers as The USA Synchro - West Zone “Coach of the Year.” Lorette is currently a USA Synchro Level 5 Judge and is in her third term as the Arizona Synchronized Swimming Administrative Chairperson, a post she has held for 6 years.
Jessica started swimming when she was 12 years old. She swam for the Arizona Aqua stars and then when she was 15 moved to Northern California to swim for Santa Clara Aquamaids. She trained for three years with the national team living in Colorado Springs from age 16 to 19. She then decided that she loved coaching and move back to Arizona and started coaching for Arizona Aqua Stars. She coached there on and off or five years. And then decided to transfer to Arizona desert dolphins in 2012.
She loves coaching AZD and loves the girls and looks forward to the growth that each year will bring! She loves the amazing coaches and amazing families that support her and her growing family!

Christine fell in love with the sport of synchronized swimming when, at 7, her mom signed her up for the City of Mesa Parks and Rec summer program. After 5 summers in recreational Synchro, Christine made the move to a year round competitive team, the Arizona Aqua Stars. As an Aqua Star, Christine traveled extensively and competed in several Junior National and Age Group National competitions. In 2003 she qualified for Junior National team trials and her team won gold at the Age Group National Competition. The following year she took home silver in duet.
Christine began coaching at 14 by volunteering with the City of Mesa programs. Since then, she has coached several competitive teams in Arizona and Colorado. She began coaching with the Arizona Desert Dolphins in 2006 when the team first began and has spent a combined 5 years with the team. After a year break from coaching, she is excited to be working with such a talented group of girls.
Christine has a Master’s degree in International Relations from the University of Denver and currently works for a non-profit in Phoenix.
Molly began swimming at the age of 6 with the Santa Clara Aquamaids in California. She swam for 9 years and not only traveled around the US with her team, but she traveled internationally to Peru and Jamaica. This is her first year coaching for the dolphins and is excited to see what she can add to this great group of swimmers and coaches.
Molly is currently enrolled at Paul Mitchell the school Phoenix and is graduating in June. She is looking forward to her future in Cosmetology and spending her free time coaching!
Starting synchro with her older sister (head coach Jessica) with the Arizona aqua stars at the age of 10 years old, Heidi McMahon developed a passion for performance and artistic character. She continued developing her synchro career by moving, at the age of 15, to Northern California where she swam for the Santa Clara Aquamaids and competed around the world with other elite athletes. On the Santa Clara aquamaids Heidi first started out her career establishing a performance background when joined Cirque du Soleil at the age of 18 and working their for six years she learned skills such as gymnastics, aerial work,, improvisation and dance. After that endeavor, she continued her passion for performance by continuing with the aquallilies and performing in video such as Justin Bieber as well as ABCs and hit show Splash. She is currently helping coach along side her sister and finishing up her degree in small business management.
Scarlett began her Synchronized Swimming career at the age of 8 when a friend asked her to join the City of Tempe Parks and Recreational Synchronized Swimming Team, Aqua Angels. There she swam for five summers and loved every minute of it. In 2006, she joined The Arizona Desert Dolphins and competed for three years. After high school, in 2010, she became the 11-12 AG Assistant Coach for The Arizona Desert Dolphins. One year later, she took the Head Recreational Coach position for The Arizona Desert Dolphins. In the summer of 2010, she became a Head Synchro Coach for the City of Mesa Parks and Recreational Program. While coaching, Scarlett also took part in the AZD Masters team in 2011 and was able to travel to Nationals for three seasons. Scarlett has enjoyed coaching for four years and continues to do so because of her love and passion of the sport.
With her Associates of Arts degree, Scarlett is looking to transfer to a school to study in the field of Exercise Science.
Fit Flippers CoachKendra has become very passionate about synchronized swimming. She started with the Desert Dolphins as a boot camper doing the retro boot camp for two years. She then moved on to becoming an athlete on the Masters team. She has done a full season of competing and loved it. She is in her second year on the Masters team and loves it still. She started coaching the Fit Flippers during the summer 2011 and loves working with kids and getting them to love being fit and healthy. She is also working on getting her coaching / judging training finished so she can help out more with the team. She wants to learn as much as she can about synchronized swimming and what it means to be a successful coach.
Kendra has a 4 year old son, who likes to be at the pool with the team.
