Artistic swimming, formerly known as synchronized swimming, has been an Olympic sport since 1984. Spectators have been awed by the grace and power of artistic swimming since its inception in the early 1900s. It combines unique overall body strength and flexibility, aerobic conditioning, musical interpretation, dramatic showmanship, close teamwork, and split-second timing. Whether as a soloist or in a duet , trio or team, swimmers strive for artistry and synchronization of their choreography set to music.
Synchro is a beautiful, yet challenging sport!
